WHAT WE BELIEVE

CPPS is committed to building a sustainable network of diverse parent, family, and community voices to ensure a high-quality education for all children in Oregon schools.

We believe excellent schools require the participation of the whole community.  Community + Parents for Public Schools works to mobilize parents and community members who reflect our diverse culture, to bring about systemic change in our school district.

Oregon's 2026 short legislative session started February 2nd and runs through March 9th. The time to speak up to protect public education funding and revenue reform is NOW.

WRITE TO YOUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES

Contacting legislators is more powerful than many people think! Each day legislative staff summarize and tally every single message that comes in. While providing testimony is a numbers game, the most important part of the process is making your voice heard. And when we coordinate our messages and timing we make an even bigger splash. That’s why we're here to watch the issues and bills, create messaging in concert with school communities and advocacy leaders across the state, and alerts our followers when it’s time to act.

Our current campaigns call on state legislators to protect K-12 funding and fix Oregon’s broken tax/revenue system to better fund our schools. Click to learn more about how we got here.
